We are from CA and every time we visit Springfield, IL this is a must place to go to have a brunch. The breakfast/lunch is really incredibly delish!! I also love the ambience inside the restaurant and the front yard garden is beautiful and the sound of the birds tweeting is so calming. Such an amazing concept turning an old house into a restaurant with amazing bakers.

Lovely place in a lovely house well worth a stop, especially on a dreary day in January when I visited. Street parking was easy enough in the morning, but I could imagine it being tougher later in the day. Yuzu jasmine macaron: the yuzu wasn't very noticeable; the jasmine had a stronger flavor. Lemon elderberry champagne macaron: this was a delicious pairing for a macaron and I regretted not getting more of it. Avocado toast: good but a little too salty. Croissant: not good flakiness.

Their chicken salad might be the best I've ever had. I always crave this sandwich when I'm in town and love the pickles they serve with it. They have a wide selection of sweet treats and pastries. I've only ever really tried their cake slices. They are pretty good but taking a star off because of the value. The slices get smaller and the price gets higher every time I come back. The business operates out of a really cool old house.
